1. Information We Collect

Account information

Email address and password when you create an account.

Profile information

Your full name, phone number, address, and province — used for invoicing and reports.

Business information

Business name, industry, GST registration status, and related details.

Financial data

Income entries, expense entries, invoice records, and tax set-aside information that you input into the app.

Receipt images

Photos you capture for OCR receipt scanning, stored securely in your account.

Mileage data

Odometer readings, trip distances, and odometer photos you record.

Usage data

Anonymized analytics about how you use app features (via Firebase Analytics). No personally identifiable financial data is included in analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the NeverØwe app and its features.
• To generate invoices, mileage logs, income summaries, and tax set-aside reports on your behalf.
• To process receipt images using OCR and return extracted data to you.
• To send account-related notifications and app updates.
• To improve app performance and user experience using anonymized analytics.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure). We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and secure authentication.

Your financial data and receipt images are stored in your account and are not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

NeverØwe uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and file storage.
• Firebase Analytics (Google): Anonymized usage analytics.
• OCR Service: Receipt image processing. Images are transmitted securely and not retained by the OCR provider after processing.

Each third-party service is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. This includes all profile information, financial records, receipt images, mileage logs, and invoice history you have entered.

If your account is inactive for more than 24 months, we may contact you to confirm whether you wish to keep your account active.

6. Account & Data Deletion

You can export your data and permanently delete your NeverØwe account at any time, directly from within the app. No email or support request is required.

To export your data before deleting, go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Export My Data. Exports are available as images, CSV, or JSON.

To delete your account, go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete My Account inside the app. See our Account Deletion page for the full process.

When your account is deleted, all personal data, financial records, receipt images, mileage logs, and invoice history are permanently deleted. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

7. Your Rights

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and all associated data — see Section 6 or our Account Deletion page.
• Export your data in a portable format (images, CSV, or JSON) directly from the app.

8. Children's Privacy

NeverØwe is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
